Whale Optimization Algorithm based Optimal Power Flow: In View of Power Losses, Voltage Stability and Emission

Electric power generated from numerous sources at different locations and distributed to various places, therefore it is to be correctly planned for economical and reliable operation. Power loss minimization, emission minimization and voltage stability improvement are the prominent advantages of optimal power flow (OPF) in technical point of view. Therefor it became a popular in planning and optimization of power system. This paper presents Whale optimization algorithm (WOA), to solve OPF problem. It is execute on the IEEE 30 & IEEE 57-Bus systems. The advantages of the WOA have been demonstrated in comparison with other algorithms like Grey wolf optimization (GWO) and Moth Swarm Optimization Algorithm (MSA).
