Performance Analysis of Solar Synchronous Orbit Satellite Battery Array

The majority of satellites usually adopt solar cell array as their energy system. Working on space orbit, the solar cell array may confront the imbalances of energy supply and demand. On the demand of energy management, three index factors with their calculating method are given, which are input and output ratio, output usage instantaneous rate and surplus power, aimed at performance analysis on orbit. According with that, the life cycle telemetry data is analyzed for a set of low earth satellites. And the result shows that method could reflect on orbit properties of solar cell array and energy use of satellites. It provides advice for monitoring system energy and optimizing energy strategies used by payload oriented to satellites management in long term.
