Finite element analysis of stress transfer of circular end concrete filled steel tubular short columns under different loading conditions

In order to study the mechanical behavior of circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short columns under split load, in order to improve the circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short columns. ABAQUS software is used to simulate and analyze the axially compressed circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short columns under different loading conditions. The axial compression analysis is carried out according to that the separate loading cushion blocks (square, rectangular and oval) are set at the overall midpoint of the column section and the two loading cushion blocks (bilateral and double circular) are set at the circular center of the circular end respectively. It is concluded that the circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short column with the center point of the semicircular steel tube at both ends as the load falling point has higher bearing capacity. The closer the shape of the loading pad is to the shape of the external steel pipe, the stronger its bearing capacity is. The bearing capacity of circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short columns strengthened with I-steel is obviously stronger than that of circular end concrete-filled steel tubular short columns under normal conditions.
