Exploring the Effects of Single-tone Jamming and Multi-tone Jamming on B2a Signal Quality

Due to the navigation signal power arriving at the antenna of the receiver is exceedingly weak and the space electromagnetic environment is becoming more and more complex, which poses new challenges and higher requirement to the B2a signal quality of the navigation satellites. In this paper, we first model the B2a signal according to the BDS-III system space signal interface control document and the narrowband jamming signals. Then, we analyze the effects of single-tone jamming signal and multi-tone jamming signal on the bit error rate under different parameters respectively, such as frequency, bandwidth and the signal to noise ratio. Finally, the experimental results show that the single-tone jamming signal and multi-tone signal have a significant influence on B2a signal quality when change the parameters of jamming signals. Meanwhile, the results of this paper can provide a valuable and positive reference for navigation signal quality assessment and jamming signal monitoring.
