Research on the Water Quality Simulation of Hongze Lake Based on Completely Mixed Attenuation Model

Hongze Lake is one of the storage lakes in the second phase of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. In order to study the impact of the second phase of the East Route Project on the water quality changes of Hongze Lake, the Hongze Lake area is used as the research area and 2017 is the impact level year. The completely mixed attenuation water quality model of the reservoir is constructed to simulate the water qualitychanges of Hongze Lake and verify the model parameters. Based on the verification of the model parameters, the water transfer plan of the second phase of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project was simulated. The simulation results of the lake-reservoir completely mixed attenuation model showed that after the project was put into operation, the water exchange cycle in the Hongze Lake area became faster, the pollutant migration and diversion rate accelerated, and the water quality of the lake area has shown an overall improvement trend. The operation of the second phase of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project will not have a significant adverse effect on the water quality of the Hongze Lake area.
