Sensing Properties of SnO2/Pd/Graphene Composites

The methane gas sensor using SnO2 as sensing material is the earliest one that is put into production due to low cost and easy fabrication. However, the SnO2 methane sensor still has some problems, such as high working temperature and low gas sensitivity. In this paper, the SnO2 material is doped with Pd/graphene composite, and then a gas sensor is made by coating the doped SnO2 sensing on an interdigital electrode. The temperature characteristics, response recovery time, detection limit, and stability of the graphene-doped composites sensor are tested. Our experimental results show that the SnO2 sensor with 1.5 wt% Pd doped with 10mg graphene exhibits the best gas response at 243°, reaching 96.112.
