Optimized Design for Noise Reduction Considering Relay Reliability

To address the problem of excessive noise of relay operation in the battery pack of new energy vehicles, firstly, based on the noise test rig, the generation mechanism of noise during the close and open process of the relay is analyzed. The analysis shows that the kinetic energy at the moment when the armature is closed, the kinetic energy at the moment when the contacts are closed, the kinetic energy at the moment when the armature is released and the kinetic energy at the moment when the contacts are released are considered to be the key factors affecting noise. Afterwards, a finite element simulation model is established by taking a certain type of relay as an example, and on this basis, sampling points are selected to construct an approximate model. Finally, a multi-objective optimization method based on the efficient global optimization (EGO) algorithm is studied to optimize the noise reduction of this automotive relay, resulting in a significant reduction in noise while ensuring reliability.
