Design and 3D Printing of Liver Surgical Guide Template Based on Mimics Liver Model Reconstruction

Hepatocarcinoma(HCC) is a common primary malignant tumor of the liver, and surgical resection is the most effective means to radically treat HCC. However, the liver structure is complex, and hepatectomy is a risky and difficult surgery. Therefore, how to achieve accurate hepatectomy is an important research content in the treatment of liver cancer. Medical 3D printing technology provides a new idea for liver tumor resection. This paper is based on the medical record of a female patient with hepatocellular carcinoma of the right lobe of the liver. The liver and lesion structure of the patient were reconstructed by using the medical 3D image reconstruction software Mimics21.0, and then the liver surgical guide template with high adhesion to the liver surface was designed by 3-matic software. Finally, the liver and fiver surgical guide template model were printed in full color using WJP polymer jet printing technology.
