The Physicochemical Characteristics and Evaluation of Heavy Metal Pollution of The Hualiangting Reservoir Sediments

In order to provide a theoretical basis for the multichannel resource utilization of the sediments in the reservoir, the physicochemical characteristics of the sediments in the 18 sampling points of the Hualiangting Reservoir were tested and analyzed. Based on the measurement results, the heavy metal accumulation index method, the enrichment coefficient method and the potential ecological risk index method were used to analyze and evaluate the heavy metal pollution risk of the Hualiangting Reservoir sediments. The results show that as the distance from the dam and the sampling depth increase, the particle size of the sediments particles gradually increases. The order of heavy metal pollution in the sludge is: Pb>Zn>Cd>Cu>Hg>As. The comprehensive potential ecological risk of heavy metals in the sediments is low. Most of the sampling sites have a low comprehensive potential ecological risk of heavy metals, but some of the sampling sites have moderate potential ecological risks for Cd and Hg.
