Fault-Tolerant Control for Polynomial Fuzzy Systems based on Sum of Squares

This paper studies an active fault-tolerant control method for polynomial fuzzy systems (PFS) based on sum of square (SOS). The active fault-tolerant control method includes fault estimation and fault accommodation. First, an observer is designed to estimate the actuator fault and the state. Then, the fault accommodation is used to compensate the actuator fault online. The design conditions are derived from SOS formula. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness are verified through the simulation of a numerical nonlinear model.
