Design and Performance Analysis of a Compact Multi-Band Planar Invreted-F Antenna in the Presence of Human Head Model

In this paper the design and analysis on the performance of a compact multiband antenna planar inverted-F antenna in presence of human head model is presented. Planar inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) are extensively employed as antennas in handheld devices. Various parameters of the antenna are determined in free space and in the presence of human head model, using computer simulation. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) for the antenna is computed in all the three bands to analyze the interaction of the antenna with human body.
