Triple Band Polarization Insensitive Microwave Absorber with Defected Ground Structure for EMI/EMC Applications

This work reports a novel work of a triple band microwave absorber developed by employing a microstrip resonator and a defected ground structure which can be used for EMI/EMC applications. This proposed novel structure functions in C band and X band applications generating absorption peaks at 6.96 GHz, 10 GHz and 11.72 GHz. The structure is polarization insensitive and has stable response under oblique incidence up to ±25°. The effect of the DGS dimensions on the absorption characteristics has been investigated.
