A Three-step Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Algorithm Based on Historical Sensing Information Prediction

With the proposal of ubiquitous power Internet of things, the demand for the smart grid for spectrum resources is increasing. In order to improve the utilization of spectrum resources, spectrum sensing technology can be applied to the smart grid. Aiming at the problem of poor detection performance of energy detection algorithm in spectrum sensing in the presence of noise uncertainty, a three-step cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) algorithm based on historical sensing information prediction is proposed. The algorithm divides the decision-making difficulty area caused by noise into three reliability levels and uses fuzzy logic (FL) to make the decision. When the output of FL is uncertain, exponential smoothing prediction (ESP) is used to make the decision on historical information. The analysis results show that, compared with the soft decision and reference algorithm, the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the performance of noise uncertainty and spectrum sensing without increasing the transmission overhead and computational complexity.
