Smart Band Communication for Visually And Auditory Impaired People

In today’s world it has become a challenge for the impaired people to lead a normal life. In this paper proposal, the input is given as a captured image or an audio file which is encoded in three vibrating modules. To encode the image captured, Convolutional Neural Network algorithms and OpenCV library is used whereas, for the speech recognition PyAudio and Speech Recognition libraries are used for computation of the data received. The system is composed of camera/webcam, microphone and also an armband which consists of vibrating modules, Bolt IoT device and a battery. The vibrating module is used as the mode of communication since they are sensitive to touch modality. These vibrating modules are placed inside an armband which can be wrapped easily around the arm. It involves a combination of various fields to build a model that can be effectively applied to make their life easy and better.
