An adaptive 5G edge computing center deployment method for power terminal coverage

In order to promote the realization of the goal of “the new power system boosting the dual-carbon strategy”, it is required to accelerate the deep integration of 5G and the power system. The application of 5G edge computing centers in the power field requires to meet the requirements of low latency, large bandwidth, and efficient processing. This paper proposes an adaptive deployment method for power 5G edge computing centers based on the improved D-K-means clustering algorithm. This method is based on the D-K-means clustering algorithm and combines factors such as density, distance and coverage. It can adaptively determine the optimal deployment scale and the optimal deployment address of the 5G edge computing center in the power. It is verified that compared with the K-means and D-K-means algorithms, the improved algorithm has the advantages of wide coverage, definite deployment scale, and stable deployment location.
