Analysis and Comparison of SPS, EPS and DPS Modulation Schemes for Dual Active Bridge Converter

The dual active bridge (DAB) converter has received more attention from researches in the last years due to it features. Most of papers that propose to study DAB converter, compare its performance by the rms value of the current in the primary of the transformer. This paper introduces this method of analysis and present a comparative study of the performance of single-phase-shift (SPS), extended-phase-shift (EPS) and dual-phase-shift (DPS) modulation schemes applied to the DAB converter, in terms of active and reactive power transfer by the fast Fourier transform (FFT) analysis.
