A Review and Performance Evaluation of Complex Repetitive Controllers in Grid-Connected Inverters

Some power converter applications require their control systems to regulate or reject exogenous signals with high harmonic content, such as the active power filter. For these applications, the repetitive controller (RC) is a well-accepted solution that is commonly used in the power converter's current-control loop. Using this scheme as basis, several authors have proposed complex control structures for three-phase power converters, also known as

RCs. In this sense, this paper presents a comparative evaluation of the structure and performance of three complex repetitive controllers. A three-phase shunt active power filters is used to experimentally validate the performance comparison.
