Abstract:

Workplace spirituality provides an opportunity to understand the relationship between self and the workplace. The current study plans to explore the bibliometric analysis of workplace spirituality research papers that have been indexed in the Scopus database. Excel sheets were used to analyze the data in terms of frequency and percentage including the VOS viewer software tool used to create maps. Total 445 research papers were selected for this investigation which was published between the 2000 to 2020 span period. The analysis of the findings revealed instrumental knowledge, including annual publications, top contributing countries in publication, affiliation, top contributing authors, subject area, and type of publication. It is observed from the analysis that a high volume of the research was initiated from the United States of America followed by India and most of the research papers published in the year 2020 and the trend is showing inconsistency. The highest research area related to workplace spirituality comprises Business, Management and Accounting, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics Econometrics & Finance, Nursing, Medicine, and psychology. These findings will provide greater opportunities for future researchers to consider as a baseline before initiating a study on workplace spirituality research work.
