Is appinting board members with high level of education enhance firm performance?

Using a sample of GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) listed companies for the period 2012 to 2018. This paper aim is to investigate the association between higher board education and firm performance by applying the OLS method. The results documented a significant negative association between board higher education and firm performance. This means higher educated directors' knowledge might be the barrier to enhancing firm performance.
