Guaranteeing Secrecy For Single FDA Antenna System Over Nagakami-m Fading Channels: Half-Duplex Approach

Physical layer security (PLS) is one of the emerging schemes to complement and enhanced wireless transmission security in fifth generation and beyond wireless communication. The development of PLS has mainly based on phased-array (PA) antennas which achieves angle dependent communication security. In this paper, we investigate secure communication solution using a new array antenna, namely frequency diverse array (FDA) which achieves angle-range dependent as a result of small frequency increment. Specifically, we design a single FDA transmitter and half duplex receiver by exploring artificial noise (AN) technique for secure transmission of information in the presence of eavesdropper over Nakagami-m fading channel. Further, considering passive eavesdropping case, secrecy outage probability (SoP) and average secrecy capacity (ASC) are devised.
