TE Scattering from Dielectric Cylindrical Objects Inside a Parallel Plate Waveguide

Dielectric loaded parallel plate wave-guide is analyzed by means of method of moments (MoM). The problem is formulated in frequency domain by a volume integral equation where analytical expression of the Green's function of the structure is used as the kernel of the integrals. Each term of the series expression of the Green's function can be integrated analytically on rectangular shaped cells which yields a very effective algorithm for the solution of the scattering problem. The method is verified by comparisons with analytical solution where the reflection and transmission coefficients are obtained in closed form.
