Broad band quasi-phase-matched second harmonic generation with MgO doped periodically poled LiNbO/sub 3/

Type-I quasi-phase-matched frequency doubling was studied in a MgO doped periodically poled LiNbO/sub 3/ using d/sub 31/. A broad bandwidth of 43 nm was measured for the fundamental wavelength center at 1566 nm.
