Full Range Soft-Switched DC-DC Converter with Clamping Circuit for Transportation Applications

This paper presents an auxiliary clamping circuit based dc-dc converter pursuing capability to achieve full-load range zero-voltage switching with mitigated voltage spike at 500 W, 80 kHz. The proposed configuration having qualities of conventional dc-dc converter operated with customized pulse width modulation. The cPWM operation of the converter pursue low duty-cycle loss, low conduction loss as well as the circuit also becomes economic with the decrease in the rating of the rectifier diodes. The analysis of the converter is validated experimentally using DSP TMS320F28379D in laboratory environment.
