Research and design of high performance VPN Security System Based on VPP

With the development of 5G high-speed network, VPN system based on traditional TCP/IP protocol stack has gradually become the performance bottleneck in the network link, which can not meet the high requirements of users for mass data communication efficiency and delay. This paper first analyzes the traditional network protocol stack, and then analyzes the advantages of VPP user-space network protocol stack in performance improvement. Then, taking IPSec VPN as an example, a solution of high-performance VPN Security System Based on VPP and dpdk technology is designed and implemented. The test results show that the solution has obvious effect in throughput improvement, It has practical application value and demonstration effect.
