Can Time Series Data Mining Facilitate Wider Adoption of Mobile Health?

Over the past decade there have been many efforts by the research community and government organizations to facilitate further adoption of mobile health and remote monitoring of patients. This involves remotely collecting data from patients and transferring data over the network (i.e., internet), so that the transferred data can be further processed and analyzed by the physicians. In this paper we propose a framework on efficient data collection, handling, transmission and processing of remote patient data into meaningful insights that could help physicians with diagnosis and monitoring health status of their patients.
