Diagnosis of Oil Paper Sample Using Capacitance Profile of Time Varying Model

Analysis of polarization current profile is a well accepted methodology to monitor condition of oil paper insulation. In the present work, the profile of polarization current is modeled with the help of Time Varying Model (TVM). An insulation condition sensitive parameter is obtained using the profile of time varying capacitance profile of TVM. Further, the condition sensitive parameter is successfully utilized to monitor condition of laboratory made oil paper sample.
