Marine MATV systems use a 3 dB reduction coupler with broadband

The object of this study is a directional coupler with reduced dimensions and a wide frequency band. The purpose of the work is to implement a compact coupler with equal power division. To reduce the area, original artificial transmission lines were used. Due to the use of such lines, it was possible to reduce the area by 73.5%, taking into account the FR4 substrate material and the operating frequency of 0.9 GHz.
