New Frequency Domain Models for Multiple Port Devices with Variable Firing Angle

A frequency domain (FD) model for a single phase fully-controlled bridge rectifier is developed, seen as a particular case of a multi-port. This model consists of two sets of quadratic polynomials in terms of the magnitude and the phase value corresponding to the voltage fundamental component and the firing angle value α. One set of polynomials corresponds to the input port, and one corresponds to the output port of the bridge rectifier. The model can be built based on simulated data or measurements for a desired number of firing angles of amplitude and phase for current harmonic components. The model is implemented in a frequency domain software and is validated comparing the obtained current waveforms with the waveforms used to generate the model.
