Design and Basic Analysis of the TUT Emotional Storytelling Corpus

Storytelling is an activity in which a speaker recounts his or her own experiences and events using multiple utterances. It is characterized by its spontaneity and the presence of listener. If the story is about emotional events, the emotion is expressed using prosodic information. From that viewpoint, we created a speech corpus including emotional storytelling, and investigated its characteristics by comparing it with other speech corpora and conducting emotion recognition experiments.
