The possibility of equalising the transmission properties of networks described by chordal rings

This paper includes the analysis and the results of the study of the possibility of equalising the transmission properties of networks described by chordal rings with an equal number and degree of nodes, differing in the values of basic parameters, i.e. the diameter and average path length, while minimising the network resources used for the transmission of information. It was assumed that this alignment can be achieved by increasing the transmission resources assigned to specific links (edges) through which the network nodes communicate with each other. The results obtained confirm the validity of the thesis that by modifying the network resources assigned to the edges of the studied graph, its transmission properties can be improved and brought closer to those of the reference graph with a minimal increase in its transmission resources.
