I. Introduction
Japan is a super-aging society. It is increasingly important to solve problems related to motor control in the elderly and patients with Parkinson's disease. Some of the challenges in human motor control include problems with the relationship between gait and muscle tone [1]. However, the specific relationship between gait and muscle tone has not yet been clarified. Here, muscle tone is the sustained activity of antigravity muscles necessary to maintain posture, as defined by Takakasaki et al. [2].
