Advantages of Prefilters in Stroke Diagnosis from EEG Signals

.Due to the paradigm shift in Europe towards the development of the society of the future, the importance given to patients and healthcare systems takes on new dimensions. Some of these relate to optimize the costs of the health system in favor of patients. To achieve this ideal, various methods are used to reduce the cost of medicines, the frequency of post-operative interventions, or even the recovery period after interventions or the risks of comorbidities. The main objective of the present research is to obtain a non-invasive tool for low cost, effective method and instrumentation for monitoring EEG signals in ambulatory (mobile) treatment and daily activities of prospective patients at risk and feedback the information to the treatment based medication. With such a tool is facilitated risk reduction in stroke by early detection based on monitoring and analysis of EEG data. The paper presents the advantages introduced by signal pre-processing. Are also highlighted the necessary further steps in the tool development.
