Substantiation of the Starter Battery Load Cycle Structure

To assess the technical condition of batteries, one can use structural (internal resistance), diagnostic (current and voltage), and calculated (state of charge and state of health) parameters. The state of health is determined either on a battery disconnected from the load or the power source or through the analysis of its parameter changes under load. The goal of this article is to substantiate the load cycle structure that would help assess the technical condition of the battery. We established the best sequence of loading modes in the cycle with ten-minute pauses for battery recovery. We present the results of changing the diagnostic and calculated parameters of batteries with various past lives. The results obtained will be used to diagnose batteries installed on automobiles.
