Gas turbine engine gas temperature measurement by acoustic multivibrators with fast Fourier transform

The article presents a brief history of the creation and development of the fast Fourier transform method - an effective method of transition from a function to its transformed form in the form of a set of sinusoidal components. The discrete Fourier transform can be quickly calculated on a microcontroller using the “fast” method. The software implementation in the form of an algorithm is presented in the work, where the entire cycle of work of one or several independent blocks is performed sequentially command by command. The block diagram of the developed differential system for measuring flowing gas temperature and the results of experimental studies confirmed the operability and high speed of the measuring device, exceeding the speed of thermocouples by three orders of magnitude.
