Energy management using the ISO 50001 standard

This article describes the application of the ISO 50001 standard in energy management of companies. The reasons are revealed according to which Russian enterprises do not implement the energy management system. It has been proven that a big problem to implement the energy management system is the lack of interest of company management in meeting the requirements of the standard. Company heads are only interested in obtaining a certificate of conformity to the requirements of the standard and not to apply the standard itself. To increase the economic efficiency of enterprises, the author has developed a mechanism that consists of the main stages of implementation and further operation of the energy management system in accordance with the requirements of the standard.
