Characteristics of Water Level Changes in Flood Season at Representative Stations in Taihu Lake Basin in the Process of Urbanization

Urbanization, as one of the most violent processes for human beings to change the regional underlying surface conditions, has greatly changed the regional water cycle process, especially the impact on flood disasters. Taking the Taihu Lake basin as the research area, using the hydrological variation diagnosis method with multiple variation points identification, the characteristics of the highest and average water level changes during the flood season of Taihu Lake and 8 plain river network representative stations were detected. Overall, except that the maximum water level of CX and HCQ stations has a downward trend, the maximum water level and average water level of Taihu Lake and other representative stations in flood season show an upward trend, and the upward trend of some stations is significant. There are double variation points in representative stations of Lake area and plain river network, and the first variation point is distributed in the 1980s, and the second variation point is concentrated in 2000 $\sim$ 2010.
