Model tests of slope deformation mechanism under pulse-like waves

A test model with scale of 1:25 is designed and a monitoring system combining contact measurement and noncontact measurement is constructed. Shaking table tests under different amplitudes of the pulsed ground motions are carried out. The results show that the amplification effect first increases and then decreases with the amplitude of the pulsed wave increases. The deformation process of slope under the pulsed ground motion is as follows: settlement mainly occurs at the top of the slope, and sand in the upper part begins to slide towards the slope toe.
