Study on the compressive strength of Ultra-High performance concrete formulated with steel slag powder instead of quartz powder

In order to achieve green development, ecological civilization construction needs, cultivate and develop green materials, promote the industrialization of construction, greening, information technology integration development is getting more and more social attention. In order to study the feasibility of using steel slag powder instead of quartz powder to prepare new ultrahigh performance concrete (UHPC), by adding steel slag powder and silica fume instead of quartz powder, the UHPC of different ages are prepared and the compressive strength of UHPC is studied. the research show that specific surface area, the grading test and particle shape of steel slag powder and quartz powder are close, so it is feasible to use steel slag powder instead of quartz powder to prepare UHPC; the base ratio test shows that the 28d compressive strength of water-cement ratio of 0.18 and 0.19 are above 120MPa, so the test group with a better flow of water-cement ratio of 0.19 is chosen as the base ratio; the test show that the proportion of steel slag powder replacing quartz powder has no significant effect on the compressive strength, and the economical ratio of steel slag powder can be used instead of quartz powder. The compressive strength of UHPC is the highest when the water-binder ratio is 0.2, the water-cement ratio is 0.35, and the compressive strength is 147.5MPa.
