Study on Flood Control Optimal Operation of Reservoir Group-Taking Pihe River Basin as an Example

With the change of climatic conditions and the flood control situation of river basin, the present status of flood control project and the original design conditions have changed to some degree with major changes in the flood control conditions of river basin. And the joint flood control operation of reservoir group has become the trend of flood control in the river basin. As regards the frequent flood disaster in the river basin and the business demand of flood disaster prevention in the basin of Pihe River, a tributary of Huai River, the study on flood control joint operation of reservoir group has been made based on flood control tasks undertaken by four mixed multi-reservoirs in Foziling, Mozitan, Bailianya and Xianghongdian. Through flood control optimal operation, the flood control risk has been greatly reduced, which bolsters the flood control safety in the Pihe River basin.
