Construction and Application Research of Engineering Geological Database in Sri Lanka

Geological data is not easy to obtain, it is generally a national important strategic information resource. In the construction process of various engineering projects, the selection of suitable foundation treatment technology, slope treatment technology and basic engineering technology based on engineering geological data and characteristics determines the safety of the project construction to a certain extent and also affects the difficulty of maintenance and management during the project operation period. Based on the relevant data of the projects in Sri Lanka, a regional geo-hydrological database of Sri Lanka had been established. And a map of Sri Lanka's geological hazards and unfavorable geological regions was formed. Furthermore, the geology and slope protection and treatment technologies in typical areas were summarized.
