Fungal Decomposition Model

The carbon cycle is an important part of life on earth, in which the decomposition of compounds plays an important role. In order to explore the relationship between fungal community and decomposition rate, we established a decay model of fungal decomposition based on Olson's model. In addition, we investigated the effects of interactions between different fungi on the decomposition rate. The relationship between growth rate, moisture tolerance and decomposition rate of fungi was obtained when there was interaction between fungi. The dynamics of interactions among different fungal species and the effects of climate pattern changes on fungi were analyzed. On this basis, a prediction model was established to predict the decomposition rate of fungi in arid, semi-arid, temperate and tropical rain forest environments. Finally, the influence of fungal diversity on the decomposition rate was obtained by controlling the parameters of simulated fungal community diversity. The analysis showed that the more diversity of the fungal community, the higher decomposition rate.
