Statistical Analysis and Regular Research on Chongqing Coal Mine Accidents

Based on the statistics of Chongqing coal mine accident data from 2010 to 2020, the analysis was carried out from different dimensions such as accident type, time of occurrence, location, and economic type of coal mine enterprises. The analysis was compared with the national coal accident data, and the law of occurrence of coal mine accidents in Chongqing was summarized. The research results show that: in terms of accident types, the number of occurrences and deaths of Chongqing coal mine roof accident are the highest, accounting for 53.02% and 41.60% respectively. The average death toll in a single gas accident was 4.39, which is the largest number of deaths and three times the average death toll. From the point of time of occurrence, March, April, May, and October of each year are the period of frequent accidents. From the point of view of the location, the coal mining face, main tunnel and driving face are the main locations of the incident. The number of accidents and the death toll accounted for 76.02% and 73.20% respectively. From the economic type of coal mine enterprises in the coming year, the number of accidents and deaths of private coal mine enterprises accounted for 81.29% and 79.73%, occupying an absolute majority. Compared with the national coal mine death rate per million tons of coal in the same time period, the median is 8.38 times, which is much higher than the overall national coal mine accident level. In 2020, it will reach an astonishing 81.22 times, it shows to a certain extent the necessity of safe production and the inevitability of historical development for the total withdrawal of Chongqing coal mines.
