A New Construction of PDA for Centralized Coded Caching Schemes

Coded caching has received great attention as a promising method to alleviate the network traffic during peak-traffic times. Placement delivery array (PDA) was proposed to characterize the placement and delivery phases in a centralized coded caching system. In this paper, from the viewpoint of combinational design we construct a new class of PDA, and further reduce the subpacketization compared to the existing coded caching schemes by means of maximum distance separable (MDS) code.
