Ship detection for SAR images with sea clutrer modles estimation

Faced with different characteristics of sea clutter, such as dispersion and unstable, the paper introduced many different mathematics models such as normal distribution, lognormal distribution, Rayleigh distribution and Weibull distribution, to simulate sea clutter. In addition, different models characteristics and application region were introduced in the paper. According to GF-3 SAR images, different models were used in experiment to acquire their fit degree. The experimental results show that the model of lognormal distribution can describe the law of sea clutter distribution in various sea conditions for GF-3 radar echo data using different parameters. Importantly, it is more practical to be realized by FPGA programming methods.
