Comparative analysis of image noise estimation methods

The article compares the methods for the noise standard deviation estimating on the example of an image with a model additive white Gaussian noise and natural images. For noise standard deviation over 10 we obtained approximately similar dependencies for all estimating methods of the noise standard deviation on the its true value for the model noise. For natural images a low (less than 0.8) correlation was obtained for various methods of noise standard deviation estimations.
