Quantum Applications of Structured Photons

Photons with a well‐engineered polarization and spatial and temporal modes, referred to as structured photons, can be used in many quantum platforms. Here, we provide techniques to create and detect structured photons, namely, their spatial modes in quantum experiments, and discuss their applications in quantum communication as well as in quantum simulations.
