Modeling Extreme Management of Saline Water Dilution in the Ingulets River Basin

A system of extreme control over the dilution of saline waters in the river section is proposed. A mathematical model of the spread of pollution from point and diffuse sources has been formalized. Based on the simulation, regulatory actions are determined that keep the water quality within acceptable limits. At the same time, the consumption of wash water is minimized. Scenario analysis of the Ingulets River section flushing showed a water resource saving of 17.5 million cubic meters in comparison with the existing regulations.
