Characteristics Investigation of the Cold Plasma Jet Generation for Minimally Invasive Treatment

The research of the generation parameters of a cold plasma jet for minimally invasive treatment on biological objects has been carried out. The change in the target temperature in the zone of interaction with the cold plasma jet for various generation parameters is investigated. It has been shown that plasma jet exposure causes an increase in the target temperature, which can exceed 50 °C, which is dangerous for living tissues. Methods for reducing target heating have been developed, including the method of pre-cooling the gas, generation of a cold plasma jet in a helium He and oxygen 02 gas mixture, and current pulse duration limitation. These methods made it possible to reduce the achievable target temperature by 20-50%. The parameters of cold plasma jet generation in microchannel tubes for possible integration of the plasma jet source and laparoscopic equipment are investigated. Optimal modes of operation of a modified generation device using microchannel tubes were determined.
