Comparative analysis of wind and solar micro-generation for an Off Grid system in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador

In this research an analysis of the supply of electricity from natural resources such as sun and wind is made, establishing the generation that will be obtained through Off-Grid systems to meet the energy demand in homes in the city of Cuenca - Ecuador. The study is performed by months with meteorological data of the year 2020 from a station located in the northern part of the city, determining the average wind speed and peak sun hours, which will help us to calculate the wind and solar potential for a bank of solar panels containing the same electrical generation as a wind turbine, obtaining as a result the reliability of the individual electricity supply.
