Emotional Product Design for Smart Cat Litter Box Considering Human-Computer Interaction

With more and more people raising cats, the demand for the cat litter box (CLB) is increasing. This paper analyzes the research status of emotional design, then the emotional design strategy combined with the problems of CLB is proposed. An intelligent start-stop function that consists of the infrared sensor and weighing sensors is used to keep safe. By using intelligent computing technology, face recognition based on convolutional neural network (CNN) and health status assessment based on big data analysis techniques are integrated, which can provide effective management of health data. An emotional human-computer interface design method of a mobile APP is proposed, the test shows that it can help the cats' owner flexibly control the CLB and improve the comfort and safety of the cats.
